House in Mihara

This house is built in the centre of the district city.
The client needed the number of rooms, on the other hand, he had an image a big space like the empty warehouse.
I set the first floor level fell from the road by 2m, it was the existing level of the site, and designed the height of the house low.
And raising the second floor level from the road level by about 1m, and surrounding there by the spandrel wall (height 1.5m),
the rooms in the second floor keep privacy from the road.

The structure called "Box Calvert structure" that consists of five structural walls, makes it possible to the multiple window and maximum open to surroundings.
An internal space like a one-room can be divided to some rooms by this five structural wall and the sliding doors.
The opposite side of the road faces public unoccupied land (waterway) , so privacy is kept.

In the center of the house, there are the indoor terrace and the stairs with top light.
The wind from the first floor blow all over the house through hear, and it makes the house like the outside.

It is a silent concrete box involve various sequences.
